Australian Student Visa process

IELTS/PTE/TOEFL

Student needs to get the desired score in English proficiency Test (IELTS/PTE/TOEFL) to study in Australia.

General IELTS requirement :

Bachelor’s – Overall 6 not less than 6 (except some course)

Master’s – Overall 6.5 not less than 6 (except some course)

Selection of agent and Conditional Offer letter

After English proficiency test result, student have to select Education consultancy. Best will be to select direct premium agent who are direct representative of University you are planning to apply. To apply for an offer letter students’ needs a Passport, Academy certificated, IELTS/PTE scan copy as well as SOP (Statement of propose), Experience letter/Recommendation letter, Study leave(If company gives). (Student should write SOP by themselves explain about why wants to study in Australia, why that particular university/college, family background, career plan after completing the course)

Financial document

After getting conditional offer letter, students can start making financial documents and other GTE documents. (Students can show education loans or bank balances. universities wont ask Edu loan if you are applying from their agents and that part you can do later only .Many If students show bank balance, cash should be three-month-old or must show the source from when students/parents deposit cash in bank example land sale. Randomly you cant deposit huge cash in bank without source of fund. Students can show loans or bank balances from any Bank under RMA .(Regarding Geuine Acess of Fund I have already shared in past post.

Genuine Temporary Entrant Process

After arrangement of financial documents students need to send documents for GTE (Genuine temporary entrant) in college/university. Where college/university will check whether students’ intention is to study or live and work.

Final Offer letter and Fees Payment

If GTE is approved, University will give you full offer letter (Unconditional Offer letter) and students need to pay a fee to the university or College. To send fees one must visit Bank where you availed Edu loan (Best will be same bank). You need to take Full offer letter; passport copy and other documents which bank may demand. You have to take the fees paid proof and give to agent .

Regarding Medical, Your HAP ID will be created by agent and you can fix an appointment at JWDNRH, GELEPHU OR Monger hospital. Best will be complete medical in between your process. As Medical validity is One year. They will check eyes, lungs and urine. The main reason to check health is to find out any TB or TB scars in your Lungs . Developed countries wiped out disease like TB long time back, and they avoid to bring back to their community. They want to safeguard their citizens from TB.

COE

After sending the fee and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) (health cover for international students which is compulsory in Australia) students will get Confirmation of Enrollment (CoE). It confirms that students have accepted a place in a course, and have paid first sem tuition fees and Overseas Student Health Cover premium (OSHC).

Visa lodge

After getting COE, students can lodge a visa. To lodge visa students need to orginal scan /notarized Academy document, IELTS certificate, Passport, OSHC certificate, SOP financial documents, Relationship proof, Land or building valuation proof ,Education loan approved and disbursement letter ,latest Bank statement, Income tax reports and other imp documents which agent will ask you to submit . I have shared in the past post regarding critical documents to be submitted. When you submit Company’s experience letter kindly be careful to give dispatch numbers and avoid small mismatch of information.

Your visa lodge will be complete after submitting of biometric and medical. Kindly note that you have to complete both within 28 days after visa office gives instruction. Failing to submit in the said dateline will result in visa cancellation.

Note : In the process time :

you have to visit or fix an appointment in Census office for relationship proof and other census related documents. (Near Dept of culture on the way to Zilukha)
You have to visit National Land Commission for Land Valuation paper .(Kawajansa)
I think now OAG office for notarization or MC purpose
Dept of Revenue and Custom for Tax related documents.
For Police Hard copy Security Clearance (Law and Order,Dzong and Police Head office, Below Memorial Chorten

***Note: When will be best time to avail Edu loan your agent will tell and guide. Don’t rush to avail Edu loan ,and best time will be to disburse loan some days before fees payment .
